Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By downloading, accessing or using Snag.ai ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. The Service

Snag.ai provides an AI-assisted construction snagging platform that allows users to log, categorise and report building defects. The service includes:

  • AI-powered snag analysis and categorisation
  • project and snag management
  • Word report generation and delivery

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use Snag.ai. You are responsible for:

  • keeping your login credentials secure
  • all activity that occurs under your account
  • ensuring the information you provide is accurate

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • upload content that is offensive, defamatory or infringes third-party rights
  • attempt to reverse engineer, copy or resell the app or its AI outputs
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the platform
  • use automated tools to access or scrape the service

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Snag.ai offers a free tier and a Pro subscription at £19.99/month or £199.99/year. Pro subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

On iOS, payments are processed by Apple. On web, payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple App Store policy or Stripe's refund policy depending on your platform. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Free Tier Limits

The free tier is subject to the following monthly limits:

  • Snags per month30
  • AI scans per month10
  • Reports per month2

These limits reset monthly. Pro subscribers have higher limits as described on the pricing page.

7. AI-Generated Content

AI analysis and descriptions generated by Snag.ai are provided as assistance only. You are responsible for:

  • verifying the accuracy of AI-generated snag descriptions
  • ensuring reports meet the standards required by your project or client
  • any decisions made based on AI output

Snag.ai does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content.

8. Data and Content

You retain ownership of all project data, photographs and content you upload to Snag.ai. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. We will not share your project data with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Availability

We aim to keep Snag.ai available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates or changes to the service at any time. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in Snag.ai — including the software, AI models, branding, design and report templates — belongs to Snag.ai. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of any part of the platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snag.ai shall not be liable for:

  • any indirect, incidental or consequential loss
  • loss of data, revenue or profits
  • any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content
  • any loss arising from service interruption

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
