1. Who We Are

Snag.ai is an AI-powered construction snagging application operated by Snag.ai ("we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at support@snagai.uk.

2. What Information We Collect

Account Information

Name and email address provided at registration. Authentication data via Google or Apple sign-in.

Project and Snag Data

Project names, addresses, and details you enter. Snag descriptions, titles, locations, trades, and severity ratings. Photographs you upload or capture within the app. AI-generated analysis and categorisation of your snags.

Usage Data

App usage patterns and feature interactions. Device type, operating system, and app version. Error logs and performance data.

Payment Information

Subscription status and plan type. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe and Apple. We do not store card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • provide and operate the Snag.ai application
  • process AI analysis of your snag photographs via OpenAI
  • generate Word reports from your project data
  • send reports to your email address via Resend
  • process and manage your subscription
  • improve the reliability and performance of the app
  • respond to support requests

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. AI Processing

Photographs and snag data you submit for AI analysis are processed by OpenAI's API. Images are transmitted securely and are not used to train AI models. We process only the data necessary to provide the AI categorisation feature.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure within the European Union. Photographs are stored in Supabase Storage. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

6. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following service providers, strictly for the purpose of operating Snag.ai:

  • Supabase — database and file storage
  • OpenAI — AI snag analysis
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — email delivery
  • Apple and Google — authentication

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • request correction of inaccurate data
  • request deletion of your account and data
  • object to processing of your data
  • request a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

9. Cookies

The Snag.ai web app uses essential cookies only, required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Children

Snag.ai is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Snag.ai after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
